About Your Company
Lumme is a digital behavioral health company.
We use gesture recognition algorithms on a smartwatch to passively track routine or habitual consumption behaviors like eating, drinking and smoking.
Our current product in development turns your smartwatch into a weight management tool. It’s like a sophisticated step counter, but for eating.
Our target customer is the average person who’s struggling with weight loss, has likely had experience with traditional weight loss programs like Weight Watchers or Jenny Craig, but is still frustrated with their inability to change the behaviors that lead to long term progress.
In the forthcoming Lumme app, users will be immediately empowered with effortless visibility into their eating habits and perfectly timed insights into how to improve them. Starting with basic metrics and patterns on when, where and how much is being consumed, Lumme helps users become more mindful eaters with sensor-triggered prompts and simple inputs related to levels of hunger, satiety and emotions. Lumme’s clinically validated AI platform also identifies triggers that lead to negative behaviors, and predictively intervenes with relevant suggestions to naturally keep users on track and accelerating towards their goals.

Logo Text
Lumme - the company is always referred to as Lumme (pronounced like Loomay). This should be prominent.
We do want a version of the logo that includes Health. This might be subtext underneath Lumme.

Detect. Predict. Intervene.
This is a tag line that still seems to work pretty well for our technology. It’s been ‘integrated’ into the logo with a gyroscope wave. Our technology uses the raw data from the gyroscope and accelerometer to distinguish which of the 50K+ hand gestures we make each day are actually associated with eating (or drinking, smoking, etc.).
The symbolism of the wave makes sense because the technology allows people to privately and passively monitor (continuous monitoring like a cardiac monitor) so you don’t have document every sip or bite of food, just like don’t have to record every step you take with a step counter. It just tells you how many steps you’ve taken for a period of time without manual input.
Of course, most people will miss the notion that the technology uses a smartwatch. That might come across more effectively with a gyroscope symbol. Possibly a smartwatch itself, although that might be a lot tougher.
The final point is if we can subtly and informally create an accent mark on the e (é) to help with pronunciation. Will require something clever. It’s not a goal, but a design consideration…
We've provided the current logo and a couple color palettes we're considering for our App.
We'd like a one color version and a full color version (assuming we incorporate more than 1 color).
Finally, consider that LUMME will need to appear on an app symbol in the Apple and Google Play app stores, perhaps with space for subtext referencing the different content programs such as "SMOKE FREE" or "EAT RIGHT"
