What is the exact name you would like in your logo?

Should be two versions of the logo one that includes just CAPPS, and one that spells out the entire name California Association of Private Postsecondary Schools

Do you have any other info or links you want to share?

Logo should be legible in color and in black and white, from small size (for business cards) to large size (for large banners).

MISSION STATEMENT: Our mission is to serve the California private-post secondary sector by advocating for the interests of our members and students, enhancing and promoting the image of the sector, communicating State and national issues, and providing professional development opportunities for our sector.

TAGLINE: Representing Californias Private Post-Secondary Schools Since 1985

KEY WORDS: Advocacy Communication - Professional Development
At first we were kicking around Representation Communication Education, and its kind of catchy. But further refinement suggested Advocacy over Representation and Professional Development over Education.

There was discussion of the logo being a triangle, with CAPPS in the middle and Advocacy, Communication, and Professional Development be on the three sides. Just an idea. Designer can play with this and other concepts.

OUR INDUSTRY:California Private Postsecondary Higher Education

TARGET AUDIENCE: State Legislature & Elected Officials, 2000 private postsecondary Institutions in California, Employer Community, CAPPS Members (300), peer group nationally, general public

DEMOGRAPHIC INFO: The intended audience is professionals who own manage and operate about 2000 for-profit and non-profit Schools and Colleges. The sector has about 400,000 students. It educates and trains for vocational and academic certificates and degrees including culinary, allied health and information technology. It is highly regulated sector that deals with Accreditors, Federal and State Governments. Intended audience is older, educated, passionate about what they do for their students and staff, committed to the sector and always seeking ways to improve their profession.

COLORS: Colors in old logo are a red (C62E40) and a blue (145C9E). Would like same or similar colors to be included in new logo. Could make use of only one of the colors. Probably business colors would be most appropriate. No orange or pink.

Logo will appear in print (letterhead, business cards, brochures, large banners, etc); on our website (www.cappsonline.org),

Previous logo is attached (CAPPS.eps) for reference - we do not think this is an effective logo.

What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?

1. Credibility, stability and professionalism, represents higher education, leader in higher education. CAPPS as main focus with a messaging such as: Advocacy, Communication and Professional Development
2. Choices student choice: We are student centered as our students are adults, often with families and jobs. There are many diverse kinds of institutions in ours sector from the Arts and fashion to manufacturing and trades.
3. We are the oldest (26 years) and only Statewide Association in California that represents all the interests of all the private postsecondary Institutions in Ca.

What logo styles do you like (image + text, image only, text only, etc.)
