LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
We are a new club at a private high school in Miami, Florida. This is the first year for the club at our school, Ransom Everglades. Club Members' age range is 14-18. JMH stands for Jackson Memorial Hospital located in Miami. We are volunteers and fundraisers for Jackson Memorial Hospital. Our club members can become certified by the hospital and volunteer individually. The club also participates as a group in the Adopt-A-Floor program at Holtz Children's Hospital (a JMH facility). The Adopt-A-Floor program is where we meet with young patients in the hosptial and do arts & crafts projects, play video games, etc. The message we want to convey is that we are a club providing volunteer service in our local community. (unlike Support our Troops, Save Tibet, Operation Smile, etc). This is a "hands on" club where members actually volunteer with their time in our local hospital. We have many exciting volunteer opportunities coming up like Rally for Kids. We will be doing fundraisers throughout the year as well.
Our goal here is to "brand" the club, possibly with a 3 word tag line along with our name.
We are open to the idea of a differnt name entirely. We just used JMH Volunteers because we really coudln't think of anything else. So, we are not opposed to changing the name of the club if someone thinks of something better.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We want a cool logo which we will use on all our club related activites including, but not limited to: facebook, club blog, posters, t-shirts, brochures, letterhead. From our blog page we will link to the Jackson Memorial Hospital site (http://www.jhsmiami.org/body.cfm?id=7)
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
We want to appeal to our student body as the best club to join. Our student body is freshmen through seniors, 14 to 18 years of age. We would also like it to be pleasing to the entire community as we will wear our t-shirts to events, display posters at events. But, our primary audience will be attracting the student body to want to join and even more importantly to realize that we are a fun, exciting group to participate with but with a solid mission to provide volunteer services to Jackson Memorial Hospital (JMH).
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
http://www.overtownyouth.org/, (like the building with all the activies represented) http://www.habitat.org/, (Like the way the logo conveys the name of the organization)http://familyplus.bgca.org/Pages/Default..., (like the pattern in the design of the logo)
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
the name of the club must be in the logo
