LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
my logo is needed for a website I am in the midst of creating. It is a site about the locally-owned boutiques in the city I live in. The site will have daily postings eventually about local boutiques and if they have new merchandise (i.e. this boutique just got in Miele Bianco bags, check it out) or if a store is having a sale, or any sort of event at boutiques in the city I live in. This site is all about the local shopping experience, sort of like the local foods movement, the local shopping movement. I really want to help the local store owners that have boutiques in Philly by increasing their exposure all in one site so that Philadelphians have one site to turn to about shopping in Philly.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
I would like a logo that has the name niquetique (the site's name) and that is hip but not girly. I know the site is about shopping and local boutiques, but I hate pink and purple and this site is fun and cool, not girly.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
My audience is mainly women, some men, that live in the Philadelphia area that like to go online to learn if the boutiques they love got any new merch. in or are having a sale, party, etc., or to learn about new boutiques in the city.
I'd like to give them an impression that this is the site to turn to be in the know when shopping in Philly. The site has names and addresses and store hours of most local boutiques, so I'd like it to be a site to check to see if your fav boutique is having a sale, etc.
I do NOT want the site to be girly, but rather fun and all about the local city shopping life.
WE LIKE THESE EXAMPLES:
apple logo and starbucks logo- I love the simplicity of the apple logo, and I like the circle shape for starbucks and having the full name of the company in the logo is helpful as well. I also like how it the name starbucks regards ships and how they incorporated a mermaid in the logo as well. Not too obvious. The logo is for a coffee place, but no coffee beans/trees in the logo.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE THIS IN OUR PIECE:
niquetique or niquetique.com in the logo
something that looks good in Black
