LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
iImpact is a young, dynamic, recently renamed non-profit focused on regional mentorship programs for at-risk youth and low risk offenders re-entering the community. We are preparing to revamp and re-launch our website with lots of media and advertising in an effort to make iImpact a household name for mentorship. To accomplish this, we need your help desining a killer logo and color palette. Tagline: " connect. engage. inspire. "
Here is our current website: http://youthimpactmentors.com We will be COMPLETLEY re-doing this, but it all starts with your logo ideas. The new website will be named i-impact.org for now as iimpact.org is not an anvailable domain.
We are open to color options, but we definitely like a bright exciting green as it conveys growth, renewal and progress. We like clean, simple straightforward compelling design. We really like graphic drawings in addition to the name text. We all like the idea of incorporating a water drop and ripples - evoking a sentiment that the individual impacts the whole and the effects of your choices will be felt by all and throughout your future. We want to inspire community members to volunteer their time as a mentor and inspire youth to seek out mentors.
We don't like human figures, we like objects, animals and design better. A compeitor is Big Brothers Big Sisters who have a logo that is their name as text combined with a symbol of two people and a heart. They use this symbol of the people and heart in lapel pins to identify their organization and it is very effective. We need our own version of this. We need this logo to translate well in various mediums including: billboards, buses, t-shirts, lanyards, online social networking forums and on signs at networking events, etc.
We have a Jem Program "Juvenille Enrichment through Mentoring" and will soon have another program similarly named in place of the current "Marion County Re-entry Initiative". We will want to incorporate these acronymsn into our existing logo in some interesting way. So that the main logo you desing is on top and the acronym in some way is below it - a part of the logo but indicating a program within the larger organization.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We need a several version of a logo in forms described below and a color palette of web safe colors to use with it. We would like these colors to be easily replicable. If it is a color that does not easily print true, it will only cause head aches for us.
" iImpact " is the new name of the organization
" connect. engage. inspire. " is our tagline
We need a logo that has a lower case possibly italicized "i", next to a Capitalized "Impact" in 6 ways:
1. Just the name as a logo
2. The name as a logo with the tagline
3. the name as a logo with the .org incorporated "i-impact.org"
4. the name as the logo with the .org incorporated and the tagline
5. The graphic element on its own
6. A logo with the acronym "JEM" incorporate/below to use for our sub program described in about us.
BUT - let's start the design and process with just the logo/tagline/graphic drawing and then we can work on the specific tweaks described above.
We really like the idea of a water drop creating a ripple effect for visual references and would like the logo to incorporate a strong graphic element aside from the text. It would be a bonus if this graphic element could stand along as a visual representation of iImpact that we could use without the name.
We will be using this logo on billboards, on the sides of buses, on our website, on printed brochures, on banners, posters, building signs, on business cards, on flyers and on lots of different social networking websites, tattoos (well, maybe not tattoos, but one can only hope, right?)
We will want the following versions of each of the 5 iterations described above. Color on white background, color on no background, black on white background and white on no background.
.png, .jpg .eps vectorized .ai .psd with layers if possible.
VECTORIAZATION WILL BE VERY IMPORTANT as we intend to print this very large!!
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Everybody! The primary function of our new logo will be to establish our brand and get our name out into the larger community for the purpose of recruiting new volunteers and supporters. We need men, women, young and old to get involved. So we really need something that speaks to the general public and is tied to an idea, image, or sentiment that will help them remember us.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
Here are our competitors - just so you can think about how our logo will relate in the market:
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
hearts, hands, flowers, meaningless swoops,
No Pink, turquoise or seafoam green
No Files Added
