LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
We are a new web-based software company called TellApart. We are building a data and analytics platform help ecommerce sites "tell apart" their high value customers from the rest. We do this by combing through massive amounts of data to figure out what makes their best customers "tick" and we then build data models to predict who their new best customers will be. Key themes behind our business include: big data, data mining, predictive analysis, using tons of computers, big algorithms.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We have a logo type that we like and use: attached and at http://tellapart.com/images/TA_logotype.... What we need now is a "bug." A cool mark which will help give our brand a little extra pop, something that can be paired with the logotype or stand alone.
Feel free to play off the idea of telling things apart. We also like themes of separating wheat from chaff, finding the gold in the ore, panning for gold, the diamond in the rough, etc.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
We want to be a brand that is perceived as user-friendly and welcoming to all, though our primary customers are the marketing professionals within large ecommerce companies. We want them to regard us as competent, brilliant and exceptionally good at what we do... while also approachable and fun-loving. We are a young team with a ton of passion, and that will be reflected in our brand and marketing materials.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
We like Evernote's elephant (www.evernote.com), Mint's mint leaf with the dollar sign (www.mint.com) as examples of bugs. MailChimp is a good example of a company that has a serious product with a fun brand.
