LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
We are launching a new website that will help connect entrepreneurs with the funding they need. They will get this support from ordinary citizens all over the country through our peer-to-peer lending site. Website is called peerbackers.com and it will allow regular individuals (not just deep pocket venture capitalists) to help/support/back small business people across our country.Winning designer could easily get more work from us going forward.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
A logo primarily for our website - and for use on business cards.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Although we are helping entrepreneurs - our primary audience is really the individuals who can lend $25.00 or more to support these start-up ventures (as these small amounts of money will be pooled to provide the thousands of dollars our business owners need). We want to communicate that with their help/support/backing these hard working entrepreneurs can thrive & grow. Our website directly connects those in need of funds with those who would like to invest in them.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
We like the crowdspring logo. We lean towards contemporary/simple design. Don't really want a logo with too many elements or multitude of colors. Saw one we liked on istockphoto that was a stylized version of 2 people supporting/lifting up a dollar sign - not sure if we want to be QUITE this literal but we liked it...also liked one that resembled the recycling symbol (circle) as those who give capital through our site do get something in return.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
Prefer to have a stand alone logo - not one that is just a graphically stylized version of our name (peerbackers)....although incorporating the name w/ an image is ok. Don't want the image of a "helping hand" and although we can see the value in representing a person or people within the design (to represent peers) - if this is done, we prefer a fluid look to the person/people as opposed to a square style that can resemble the symbol often seen on public bathroom doors/info signs -- used to differentiate women's room from men's - if you know what I mean :-)
