What is the exact name you would like in your logo?
Ms.Yin | Ms.Yang
What is your industry?
Publishing and Media
What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?
We are two women writing a fashion and beauty blog and would like the logo to communicate style, duality (two fashion styles / personalities), and it should be modern (clean, sophisticated and chic).
What logo styles do you like (image + text, image only, text only, etc.)
Image + text. We like the essence of the typical yin yang image being incorporated with the name Ms.Yin Ms.Yang but the traditional image being manipulated so that it looks more stylish and conveys two distinct fashion style personalities. Maybe a circular logo. We would like to stick to black and white for the colours.
Do you have any other info or links you want to share?
To give you a better idea of the different fashion personalities:
Ms.Yin is the darker city side with a love for luxe but a knack for mixing local labels in the look. She prefers black and white with interesting shapes and textures and is always boldly accessorized to the max. Add a red lip, a fab bag, and a flashy shoe and she's out the door in eight minutes flat. You have to be quick when you have two kids! When not stalking the streets for the newest boutique, or running mama errands, you can find her holed up in her photography studio with a G&T and a stack of fashion mags.
For Ms.Yin a style reference would be The First Wife http://thefirstwife.com/
Whereas, Ms.Yang is the light and bright lady with a tropical vibe. She loves bold prints and bright colors. A self confessed jewel junkie and fashion fanatic she's always on the look out for baubles and fash for less cash. When she's not sharing her fashion inspiration, she's daydreaming of lounging poolside looking effortlessly glam (and svelte of course) with a glass of champers in her well accessorised and perfectly manicured hand. But in reality she's running around after a mini 6 year old diva; fretting over the next showdown about the credit card bill after all that online shoppa-shop the night before and always thinking "breathe in" if she ever does make it poolside!
For Ms.Yang a style reference would be the Instant Goddess column:
