LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
LENS (Learning, Effectiveness, and New Strategies) is a Tokyo-based agency that offers training, facilitation, and personal growth courses. Using proprietary facilitation techniques, we work with large companies, local community groups, and individuals to improve their ways of communicating and aid in their personal evolution and growth. We have a nearly 20-year history of successful projects, but we are now looking for a new, modern, and refined image.
The name is LENS, which obviously conjures up images related to the eye. And we are "working together with our clients to a better future." Let this influence your design as much as you wish. It seems an obvious synergy but don't let it stifle your creativity.
We are also Japan-based but don't introduce "Japanese-y" ideas into your design. We're locally based and globally-sighted.
See the attached examples for some of our courses.
Keywords/key-phrases: Facilitate, paradigm shift of thought, new model of negotiation, local-to-global, business through human relations, human transformation, solutions that work
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
The logo will be used on the Web and in all our stationery. The main usage right now is for Web, so design with that in mind, but ultimately the logo will be in print. The design will be used a basis for "sub-branding", i.e., LENS-[some word here]. Please design with this in mind.
It must say LENS - that's all. And it must "speak" much more than that.
If you can present a couple of sizes and color combinations that would be helpful.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
They range from large corporations seeking more effective global communications and inter-company meeting skills, etc., to local communities and villages looking to expand markets and relationships, to individuals looking for more powerful and compassionate interactions with their colleagues and subordinates. Therefore the image must be contemporary and evocative (for the corporate types) as well as somewhat familiar and accessible (for instance, for older people in local communities).
Customers should think we can change their business communication to lead toward greater profitability and that we can help them communicate with the world.
WE LIKE THESE EXAMPLES:
Zipliner, Deco, Salvation, and Three Leaves on this page (http://www.fuelyourcreativity.com/50-kic...)
NeighborTree on this page (http://www.fuelyourcreativity.com/50-mor...)
SFWork logo at this site (http://hostleadership.wordpress.com/)
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE THIS IN OUR PIECE:
The design will be used a basis for "sub-branding", i.e., LENS-world, LENS Education, LENS Advancement. Therefore the design ideally can have another word superimposed over it, worked into it, or next to it. The design must also be shape that will transpose nicely onto two-dimensional media like stationery.
