We are a Centre for research in geomatics. Geomatics is the discipline of gathering, storing, processing, and delivering geographic information, or spatially referenced information (see Wikipedia for further detail). We are mainly in an academic and research industry. We are doing cutting edge research in geomatics and the Centre is internationally recognized for its high quality research activities with several world class researchers. Here are few examples of technologies/research areas we tackle: - Geographic information systems - Location-based mobile technologies - GPS - Remote sensing and imagery - Augmented reality - Urban design - Cadastral studies - Data quality and legal aspects
