Style and Concept
What logo styles do you like (text only, image only, text and image, etc.)?
I like clean, simple logos such as Apple's logo or Nike's logo. It should have text and an image. If the image is incorporated in the text, that's fine as long as the image can stand on its own as well.
Here are a few example logos that I like:
http://justafewofus.com/ - I like that you can tell it's social from the logo. I also like that it looks 3D.
http://www.mint.com/2b/ - I like that it conveys your money growing.
Also, I feel it is important to share what I don't like. I don't like abstract symbol logos like AT&T or Adidas. Here's a few other examples of what I don't like:
http://www.acornacreslandscaping.com/ima... - this logo is messy and cluttered
http://boinc.berkeley.edu/logo.php - even though this logo is sorta simple & clean, I have NO IDEA what it is conveying.
What colors do you want to see in your logo?
I'm really open on this since there is no existing color palette.
What colors do you NOT want to see in your logo?
Again, I'm open. Be creative, that's what you do best!
Where will your logo be used (print, website, etc.)?
Mostly online. Print in the future.
Do you have other info or links you want to share?
The site is named for 2 reasons:
1) It helps businesses build their business using social networks. Masons have been using brick and stone to build all kinds of things that have been around for centuries.
2) The men in my family are Masons and my brother is named Mason!
Some of the tools used in masonry are shown here:
Now, that's not to say I'm tied to using a masonry image. But that's where the name comes from.
Also, the image must not look anything like the FreeMasons organization. Here's their logo:
There are actually lots of versions of this logo but you get the idea.
