LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
My corporate website is: www.micahbowerbank.com
My corporate blog is: micahbowerbank.wordpress.com
27 years old. Male. Resident of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Professional wedding and portrait photographer. Modern, energetic, young, fun, business oriented, creative and busy.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
A logo that expresses my brand and style. My current logo utilizes a script font, but I am not attached to it, I am typically a sans-serif person (myriad pro - or something similar). My current site has a black background but that may change (but it will probably stay dark).
So I need a logo that showcases my company name "Micah Bowerbank Photography"
I'm open to all three words being together or split into two "Micah Bowerbank" & "Photography"
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Bride and Grooms in the 19 to 35 year range.
I'm in the mid price range, I'm not into budget photography and I'm not established enough for the high end brides.
So my logo should reflect the middle class market, trendy but not cutting edge, professional but fun and approachable.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
http://www.altf.com/ - cool simple logo
http://www.jlawsonphotography.com/index2... - interesting logo on the bottom center of the page that utilizes a name, symbol and tagline
http://www.coreymcnabb.com/index2.php?v=... - simple effective but I'm not sold on the strong use of color
http://www.kampphotography.com/ - I like the blue and the use of iconography - plus I'm always drawn to that font, I think it's myriad pro
http://www.davidejackson.com/ - I'm not so crazy about the logo but I love the site and may make something similar for mine in the future.
www.istockphoto.com - simple sans serif font with cool icon
http://www.stockxpert.com/ - nice use of two lines to display the name and secondary name
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
Must have my whole business name "Micah Bowerbank Photography", but the name can have more presence than the "Photography" part.
Must work on either black or white background (I'm open to an alternate color scheme for each).
Must work at 60% opacity on transparent background for use in watermarking photos.
I would prefer rectangle dimensions over square (just easier to fit on the site)
Being Male I'm often drawn to dark backgrounds and the color blue in general - but my main audience is female (the bride) so I'm torn on this one. I think somewhere in the middle would be the best, and I'm going to be keeping an open mind.
