LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
Were a one product (in four varieties) company for now. Our product is an overhead storage rack for your garage ceiling. We designed it for windsurfers, but itll work for kayaks, surfboards, etc. The cool (and patent pending) part is the horizontal supports are rollers, so you can pull and push your gear on and off your car carrier to the rack in seconds. You can see the product and get a sense of our aesthetic at www.sandyhookracks.com.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We need a logo. Itll go on business cards, the website, t-shirts, polo shirts, assembly instructions, upc labels, print and web ads, and our website. Cant add much to the 10 Logo Design Tips For Buyers. Off the top of our heads it would tie in a windsurfer/surfboard in a facsimile of the rack and our name. Our tag line in print ads is more time on the water but that may make things too busy
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Presently focused on windsurfers. 90% male, 90% college educated, between 25 and 45 years old, average household income $100k+. We are unknown in the industry, save for some early adopters whove found us via google and print ads in Windsport and Windsurfing magazines. Windsurfing equipment is expensive, and the average sailor drives an hour to the beach time is a premium. Our product answers these items by 1) getting the $1,000 board and $400 sails safely out of the way and 2) speeds loading and unloading of the gear for more time on the water.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
Like iWindsurf.com logo incorporating a sail as the dot on the i. Simple. Strong font.
Shortcoming of all is that its not clear what they do. iWindsurf is online wind forecasting service, ABKBoardSports is training camps, and Isthmus is a retailer.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
The name is the only non-negotiable.
