LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
Our startup, peaksmart.com is focused on providing a simple, yet comprehensive way for kids (1st grade through high school) to be able to supplement their education on a daily basis. Parents will be able to participate in the process too. There will be a lot of community and social aspects to the site too, in order to encourage the students to keep progressing through their studies.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We need a logo, something that looks AWESOME on our website (under construction). We need a logo that can be very small (small buttons), medium (business cards, website), and large (front page of website). Incorporate the name PeakSmart in the logo itself, or next to/under the logo/mark. Please let us know the font used for the name too please.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Students 1st through 12th grade and their parents.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
We really like the clean look of the vector designs here: http://vector.tutsplus.com/articles/web-... - especially the Black Sparrow and Pangur designs. Of course, we really like the simple logos for feedburner, facebook and twitter, but something a little more artistic/silly/fun is more appropriate for our audience. We'd like something a bit more "Web 2.0" if that makes sense.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
A sense of fun, adventure, as well as dedication. Something that plays off the sense of mountain (peak) climbing, reaching stretch goals, achievement, and confidence. Reaching the summit, looking at the summit, planting a flag on the summit, a trek, trudging up a hill, carrying a load on their backs/heads up the hill. Incorporating the mountain climbing theme + education in some way would be ideal. A boy scout or girl scout merit badge theme might be an interesting approach too.
