We are a fledgling non-profit group in need of a logo for our organization, first for our website but also for use later on t-shirts, plastic cups and printed materials.
Our group is made up of mostly natives of New Orleans, LA, USA who now live in Texas, USA.
We'd like our organization's full name (Mystic Order of Saints and Sinners) as well as the initials (MOSS) to be incorporated into the logo.
The Fleur De Lis design must be incorporated as well, as this is the traditional symbol of the city of New Orleans. Here's a link to a basic Fleur De Lis design in Mardi Gras colors:
One of the ideas one of our members came up with was to have a Fleur De Lis that looked like it was dancing and wearing a gold crown or a Court Jester's hat. Another member suggested we use a Fleur De Lis dancing together with a Star (the traditional symbol of Texas) and they both are wearing crowns or a Court Jester's hats.

Here's a Mardi Gras logo we liked (although the colors are pretty bland):
We all agreed we liked this image, not that we necessarily want our logo to look like this, but the colors and the feel of the image are great:
