LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
Blellow is a social network that will be a collaborative workplace for productivity. Members can post questions to help them get their work done, exchange knowledge, and receive feedback. It'll function a lot like Twitter - but we'll ask: What are you working on? We'll allow users to form groups, post jobs, meetups, and projects.
Definition of the word Blellow: from the TV show, Malcolm in the Middle. Its Reeses term for green. In his words, I invented a new colorI mixed blue and yellow and gotblellow! We were inspired by his green thats somehow more than green and think of the social network that were creating in the same way. Were bringing together known elements, or blues and yellows, if you will, and are creating a new way to communicate and get your work done.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We'd like a simple, bold, & fun logo for Blellow. It'll be used on the website, on Tee's, stickers, business cards, site banners and print.
It should be bold in style and looks good on most colors or patterns (people will be able to customize their own backgrounds), but needs to look especially great on our default Blellow background. Attached is a file called blellow_logo.jpg, which shows where the logo will be on the page. Also, the attached logo_examples.jpg shows where logos like skype, picpix, and twitter have made the outline bold so that the logo will stand out well on any background.
Here's a non-functioning coded version of the site: http://blellow.com/static-final/sign-in-...
* Web 2.0 + style.
* we'll need an icon/square version of the logo to be used on browser tabs and social network sites that allow you to upload a square icon image
* Needs to be horizontally oriented, simple & may use the chat icon or bubble idea in some way here are some examples:
Really like the shape of the chat icon for imeem attached imeem.jpg
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Early adopters, self-employed, entrepreneurs, freelancers, professionals, virtual teams.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
Twitter logo - notice how it has a thick white border that allows it to float on top of any background color or pattern.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
* horizontal format (not much taller than the height of the word - not too wide)
* can sit on any color/pattern and still be readable
