What is the exact name you would like in your logo?
popupspy instant reviews of instant stores
What is your industry?
retail / retail store design / pop-up stores / general marketing and merchandising
Describe the target audience for your logo
This new blog will be aimed toward marketing and retail insiders and design enthusiasts. Ideally, this site will generate leads for consulting design projects.
On this blog, I'll detail my mystery shopping trips to various pop-up stores in Manhattan. Using photos I'll illustrate the various strengths and missed opportunities of each store, specifically those regarding layout, fixtures, signage and sales associates.
What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?
professional, modern and creative.
Style and Concept
What logo styles do you like (text only, image only, text and image, etc.)?
I'd like the logo to be a creative play off of the name, popupspy. There's many ways to do this, including but not limited to these. For example, a play off of spy using binoculars or the "confidential/top secret" red stamp, etc. The only thing I ask is that it doesn't appear too cartoonish.
Or perhaps a logo/visual that conveys the fleeting, temporary quality of a pop-up store. Here today, gone tomorrow.
Or lastly, a logo/visual that relates to the store facade or shopping aspect of the blog. I'd prefer to stay away from shopping bags and carts though because they're a bit overused.
What colors do you want to see in your logo?
The blog will utilize shades of gray and blue (similiar to www.nielsen.com) so the logo should be complementary, although it doesn't necessarily have to be gray/blue. I'd like there to be at least 2 colors: popup as one color and spy as another color. The tagline, instant reviews of instant stores, should be in a smaller sized font than popupspy. Other than that, please feel free to experiment.
What colors do you NOT want to see in your logo?
No orange please. There's a similar retail blog already out there (http://popupinsider.com/blog/) and it utilizes a lot of orange. I'd like the logo and the colors to be somewhat differentiated.
Where will your logo be used (print, website, etc.)?
Do you have other info or links you want to share?
Thanks in advance for all your efforts. Please let me know if you have any questions. I look forward to seeing the results!
