LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

We're updating our company name, branding, colors, fonts as we're evolving and seeking a creative designer who can make a great logo for our new company name.

We're changing to PorteroLuxury.com from Portero.com. Majority of our customers are female. We'd like a more gender-neutral logo since the site and logo were too masculine. See the current logo at Portero.com.

We sell pre-owned authenticated luxury bags, watches, jewelry and accessories (and launching a vintage jewelry, watches and bags category in a week) featuring the world's most exclusive brands (Cartier, Rolex, Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, etc). We used to sell all products on our site in an auction format. Our new site launched in June is 100% fixed prices. We accept product from consignors and dealers who send us their pre-owned authentic luxury items to resell on our site. We first authenticate it, give it a condition rating, process it, photograph it and list it on our site. We take a commission only when the consignors' or dealers' products sell. And, we ship it to our customers on their behalf all seamlessly under the Portero brand. We are a marketplace, but moving away from using the word "marketplace" since we don't show who the seller is (as you see on eBay or Amazon).

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We need a great logo that reflects the brand that we're evolving to (as described above)

New logo should include:

Portero Luxury

Premium Pre-Owned Prized

2nd version of logo may need to have the Premium Pre-Owned Prized removed if it can't fit in very tiny logo buttons. - we need it to be legible if it has to be shrunken down.

The new logo will be used on our website

Online marketing materials (banners, small logo buttons, email, etc)

Offline marketing materials (press materials, newspaper ads, direct mail, gift cards, etc)

Shipping/packing materials

Needs to look good both online and offline, black and white and in color. It needs to be compact and still legible enough that it can fit into a 100 x 40 logo button. We may need to remove the Premium Pre-Owned Prized if it has to be shrunk down so much so it's at least legible (see an example on this page of our current logo that doesn't look good: (http://www.couponcabin.com/coupons/porte...)

Font on Portero can change

We're suggesting a shade of blue rather than the brown used in the current logo. We'll update the site with this new color palette after the logo is designed. See the blue on the main tile of Portero.com home page to use for this logo project (don't have the RGB colors at the moment).

Style:

-Needs to be gender-neutral (current logo is too masculine)

-Reflect the types of luxury brands we represent on our site

-May want to have a "vintage" feel since we are all about "pre-owned" cherished products with enduring value

The logo should come across as an "accessible site" and not too uptight like most luxury brands. We want to appear "approachable" and "professional".

Logo may look better stacked as opposed to horizontal, but feel free to play around with it.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Demographics:

65-70% female

90% U.S.-based (Tri-State NY, California, Chicago - Metropolitan areas)

Very high income: $150K+

Well-educated

Age range: 35-64

Psychographics:

-Our customers are willing to buy pre-owned vs. new

-They can probably afford new but we think we have "smarter customers" who can appreciate great brands at exceptional values.

-Our customers are brand-conscious, value-conscious and seek authenticity, good craftmanship, and condition of our products are important

-Many of our customers typically browse our site to find what they may want rather than knowing exactly what they want
