This logo is for a non-profit legal aid clinic that helps people who are victims of abusive debt collection practices.
The logo needs to convey to client a strong exterior with a soft interior, that clients will be protected and taken care of in the face of abusive debt collection practices. Consider using an animal to show a task of strength, or an adult animal with a young animal to convey outward strength at the same time as inward care. See Signavio, Jaguar, Jurrasic Wine, http://www.biz-logo.com/logo.php?logoid=... , Novo Nordisk, fort worth zoo (vertical arrangement) for some animal examples, though these don't have the family element.
Some animal suggestions: Elephant, Lion, Bear, Giraffe, Buffalo, Horse, Cow, Zebra, Hippo. Herd animals convey safety, hopefulness, and care.
People should feel warm when they look at the logo and enjoy looking at it for its own sake. But we're not looking for cutesy, that is the opposite of what we're looking for. More beauty, attachment, safe bond, strong caregiver, kinder, stronger, wiser, steady, consistent, and can help you take care of a problem.
Logo will be used in B&W as well as color applications, so should be simple.
