LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

We are a Japanese venture that focuses on the incubation of IT related business. We are currently working on creating a review site for various iPhone applications. The name of the site is "Applie" and it is already up at http://www.applie.net/ but is still under heavy development, so we cannot assure you that it is always running. Our objective is to build this site into the most popular iPhone app review site in Japan so that we can get some hands on whatever business that stems out from running the site. You can think of our site as the Japanese alternative of AppVee, http://www.appvee.com/.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We need a logo for our review site. Our site has a Mac OSX like theme at the moment but we will probably change it into more OSX graphite looking one. So, the base colour will be silver or gray and the rest of the colours for small parts are still undecided. The boss said that he would like to see some pop taste in the site, so the logo could be vivid and colourful in contrast with the coolness of the whole website design. However, it is totally up to you to come up with the colour scheme that you think would make sense. We prefer the logo to go well with the Japanese title at the top of the site but never mind in case you don't know any Japanese.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Our target audience is anyone who uses iPhones and is willing to install and use third party applications. In Japan, iPhone is provided by only one carrier: Softbank. I suspect the users of iPhone in Japan are relatively old, 30's and 40's compared to those in US. We want them to read our reviews for their choice of installing and using applications.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

We have no particular website or design in our mind. Like we mentioned above, we want the logo to be the little spice for the plain and simple theme.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

Obviously, we don't want the logo to resemble any popular logo out there in the market.
