5AM Solutions, Inc
What is the exact name you would like in your logo?
What is your industry?
personal and family health
Describe the target audience for your logo
primary audience is people with families (especially young children or elderly parents) who want to track health information - symptoms, medications, appointments and so on.
More specifically - age 28-50 years, mix of gender but likely more women, middle to upper income professionals, who are busy but like to manage information about themselves.
What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?
friendly - too many health apps look like little more than dumps of database tables. we want to convey that we have a more personal and intimate approach.
unintimidating - people are from the outset intimidated by dealing with health - because of the medical jargon, and just the nervousness / bad connotations of medicine. we want to dispel that with a playful and easygoing feel.
competent - at the same time we don't want to have too cartoony of a feel, because people need to have a level of trust when dealing with health information. High resolution graphics and clean.
Style and Concept
What logo styles do you like (text only, image only, text and image, etc.)?
text and image. we would like to have a mascot - the "health champ" - which we can have in the logo and then reuse elsewhere in promotional material and app.
right now we're thinking of a monkey as the mascot - but we're open to other ideas.
What colors do you want to see in your logo?
muted, soothing cool colors. soft blues and crisp greens. we want this to be calming to a person who may be stressed by managing health issues.
example of good color pallette: https://healthmanager.mayoclinic.com/def...
What colors do you NOT want to see in your logo?
purple. red, neon-bright colors in general. not too much earth-tones - can have some but shouldn't dominate.
Where will your logo be used (print, website, etc.)?
we will use this on the website and the splash screen of our mobile app.
Do you have other info or links you want to share?
examples of what we like
- fitfu.com (not the color pallette but their fun but clean look. but it is a bit busy - we want less zany)
- logfrogapp.com (they have a fun and crisp look with soothing colors)
- https://healthmanager.mayoclinic.com/def... - good soothing color palette.
we expect to be posting another project after this one for mobile app design (icons and screens), and perhaps one for elaboration of the mascot.
