What logo styles do you like (image + text, image only, text only, etc.)
Surrey Independent Living Council (SILC) is the charity organising the independent living event and the logo should clearly communicate a professional image of what SILC represents. We would like to avoid any stereotypical cliches of disabled people, as SILC supports other groups of people (more details on SILC in brief). Examples of logos that we believe achieve good representation are Great Ormand Street hospital charity; Families; Great British Chefs and Zipliner (all logo images can be found on google search).

Do you have any other info or links you want to share?
Surrey Independent Living Council (SILC) is holding an exhibition fair, with associated workshops and activities, to showcase the diversity of opportunities and choices available in Surrey for disabled adults and children, older people and carers to live more independently. This will cover not only care and support, but also learning and work opportunities, products, benefits, advocacy, health, leisure and other areas.
It will provide an opportunity
for disabled people, older people, carers to enjoy an exciting event to learn about the services and activities available to them on their doorstep and to support them to live independent lives.
for organisations to showcase their wares and increase awareness about their services to an ever increasingly powerful customer base, and
professionals to learn about the diversity of services available locally so they are better able to support their disabled clients.
SILC is a voluntary organisation led and run by disabled people. Founded in 1997, we champion the idea that every person has the right to live independently and freely, with the same choices, opportunities and control over their lives as anyone else.
The logo will be used on a range of promotional literature including the exhibition guide and flyers to attendees and potential exhibitors.
SILC's website is http://www.surreyilc.org.uk/index.html which shows their current style. The event logo will have to compliment the SILC logo (blue pantone 300 and yellow pantone 138 attached) as they will feature together.
