LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
I am a thirty-something, happily partnered, mother of Edie and Oliver (the two cutest four-legged babies you have ever seen) and soon to be the owner of a new handmade gift boutique and creative studio in Atlanta, GA. I came to this point in my personal creative journey after the passing of my brother in 2007. In his death, I found the courage to leave the corporate world for bigger and better things. Prior to my escape, I was in the Event Marketing industry for 11 years. I also hold a degree in Fashion, Textiles and Interiors. After trying to focus on a particular passion (fabric, color, texture, design, and architecture) and lousy attempts to apply that to my sales and marketing background, I was encouraged to not restrict myself and do it all.
There are two components to the shop: the retail side and the creative studio side. The retail component will consist of a variety of handmade products in the following categories (Home, Accessories, Gifts, Apparel, Kids and Pets). The studio will be a space (within the shop) where artists and employees will hold workshops in various mediums (i.e. fiber arts, repurposing/upcycling, glass soldered jewelry).
The inspiration for the overall feel of the space is Anthropologielifestyle merchandising at its very best (www.anthropologie.com). Now, add a twist. Think Mrs. vintage-inspired ultra fem meets Ms. Urban eco-friendly hipster. A distinct mixture of colors and textures all brought together to create a relaxing yet fun home environmentwell, the home we all wish we had!
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
I am looking for a logo (and tag line) that says it all. The logo will be used for all print and electronic messaging, as well as for the store-front signage.
After months of tossing around names, I am still struggling with this decision. Below I have listed the names still bouncing around in this lottery wheel we will call my brain. I like each of these for very different reasons so I have decided to leave it to the professionals. I am completely open to your interpretations and suggestions. Important to keep in mind, I seem to be drawn to contrast. Hard/soft, masculine/feminine, organic/structured. There is a company here in Atlanta, Concrete LaceI LOVE IT!!! The contrast/dichotomy of the words.
the INDIEpendent (favorite, at the moment)
As for the tag line, I just want to make sure it helps define the name. If someone could incorporate three power words using W.C.L, my brothers initials, that would be awesome.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
Looks I likethe handstamped (since stamping is huge in the craft industry), the organic trees/birds/flowers but hand drawn not cartoon nor too natural and the combination/contrast of the traditional classic mixed with an urban edge.
COLOR: On a whim, I purchased 27 rolls of the prettiest green ribbon. It is a perfect green with a hint of iridescent blue. However, green goes with everything! I love all colors and the absence of them as well. I do typically lean toward monochromatic schemes but go for it! Oh, I hate clowns and the circus :)

I like the theme categoriesFANCY: Eroded, Distorted, Destroyed, Decorative (some), Typewriter, Various. SCRIPT: Trash, Various.
BEAUTIFUL spaces: These are closest visually but I am not fond of either logo or website.
