Launched back in 2000, BeautyRiot.com is a leading womens web site with a focus on celebrity hairstyles and beauty trends, and how-tos. We provide a free virtual makeover tool that allows a user to try hairstyles and makeup looks on her own photo. There are a lot of celebrity beauty and hairstyle sites now, but BeautyRiot.com was the first and continues to be a leader.

What do we want the Logo to do?

Solidify BeautyRiot as the leading beauty resource that helps women reinvent their personal style

The Logo must communicate:

- Reinvention. This is a place where women come to reinvent and enhance their personal style

- A creative, playful and fun approach to beauty

- Individuality. This is a place where women take inspiration, but make it their own

The Logo must make our users feel:

- That they are just as fabulous as celebrities

- That they have access to the best and most sought after beauty experts

- Inspired to experiment with their style

- Like trendsetters, constantly in the know and defining whats in

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Mostly under 35 - college students and young, entry-level workers.

She is her own hair goddess, constantly experimenting and incorporating the latest styles into her look.

She gets a lot of inspiration from celebrities because they have access to the best, but she has a sense of style that allows her to make it her own her individuality is her trademark.

The Logo must make our users feel:

- That they are just as fabulous as celebrities

- That they have access to the best and most sought after beauty experts

- Inspired to experiment with their style

- Like trendsetters, constantly in the know and defining whats in

The single most important point to communicate is:

BeautyRiot is about Beauty Reinvention - - Women taking inspiration from our site to make big or small changes and enhancements to their individual style.

Executional Considerations. This logo will need to:

- Be easily transferable for other uses, meaning it must translate to advertising, business cards, etc.

- Be easily remembered, meaning it cannot be too complex, busy or intricate;

- Bring to life the strategic communication elements

- Be youthful and fun, not young (this is not a teen site)

- Be original, no lipstick tubes or kiss marks -- try to go beyond the traditional "beauty" imagery and think about imagery and symbols that represent the feelings we're trying to connect with in our users. Don't forget our keys: reinvention, fun, creativity, individuality.
