LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
Brammo is an electric vehicle (powercycle) company based in Ashland, Oregon, United States. Its first production powercycle, the Enertia, is assembled there and will soon be selling at stores on the West Coast, with an expected roll-out of the bike nationwide the following year. It uses lithium-ion phosphate batteries, and is intended as a commuter vehicle.
The Enertia is the first of a handful of vehicles that Brammo intends to make. It is best to allow for growth and not pigeonhole Brammo as a motorcycle company, a green company or even an electric vehicle company. We like to think of Brammo as a company who's mission is to deliver the world's most exhilarating personal transport system.
The word Brammo comes from "Bull" - a nickname that CEO Craig Bramscher earned during his football playing days.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
A strong simple logomark.
The logo mark should work in b/w, color, embossed on leather, etc. It will be used in a variety of marketing materials (web, print, brochures) as well as prominent placement on the bikes.
The logomark should be able to work alone AND in conjunction with the existing logotype. The exisiting logotype is included as an attachment.
We would like to explore both bull and non-bull options.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Both men and women as well as riders and non-motorcycle riders. Most motorcycle brands feed off exclusivity and individuality. We would like Brammo to be more about inclusivity and community.
We would like people to think we are the future of transportation. We are here to stay and we are NOT a fad.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
We like that Tesla makes electric cars but has a logo that doesn't indicate that. It has a logo that indicates it a cool car company.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
We like the idea of representing a bull.
We have talked about ideas where horns are made of electric bolts. When doing a bull please watch out for making it look like a sports team. We want to stay away from that.
We also like the idea of not representing a bull.
For non-bull ideas we have talked about ideas where we borrow from motorcycle culture the idea of wings and make the feathers out of electric bolts. We have also talked about taking cues from transportation culture and thinking about how what the evolution of that would be.
The above is just thought starters though. Please feel free to bring a new perspective to this.
What we FOR SURE DO NOT WANT is logos that position Brammo as green or soft. Friendly and community - yes. But we don't want to be lumped into the green category.
When presenting logos please show the logo with and without the logotype.
