Consulting and Professional Services
What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?
background/positioning: "Adaptive Consulting works with executive leadership to enhance revenue streams and improve profitability. We develop strategies and execution plans with measurable outcomes that are informed by 20+ years of data-driven experience leading: marketing, product & pricing, sales & business operations, and reporting & analytics. This expertise has been honed in small, medium, and large organizations while successfully managing companies through those stages. Adaptive Consulting brings a perspective that recognizes how all of these business functions & a company's stage impact each other and must be addressed holistically. Working with Adaptive Consulting, clients get a partner whose guidance is tailored to their specific size, stage, and market conditions."
I am open to anything for design. My current thinking is that I want a logo that communicates the "adaptability" - i.e. lots of disparate pieces which actually interlock into a strong foundation. Another concept to consider integrating is a logo that communicates some sort of action or activity that is also driving towards growth. The other concept I've been thinking about is something that communicates a self-sustaining ecosystem (i.e. product drives marketing which drives sales which creates data which drives product which drives marketing...). That said, for this third concept, without incorporating the concepts of disparate pieces interlocking and/or getting stronger, I'm not as big a fan of it.
One last note, my presentations & pitches will always emphasize that data & measurability are a common thread that will weave through everything I do. This does not have to be incorporated into the logo, but I wanted to leave you with as much as possible to go on.
What logo styles do you like (image + text, image only, text only, etc.)
image + text is preferred.
I am agnostic to whether the text is integrated with the design or whether the text is stand-alone (i.e. offset from the design).
In terms of sizing & scaling, the logo will need to fit on: business cards, nav bar on the website, invoices & envelopes.
For color palette, I generally prefer to keep it tight - similar shades of one color with maybe one or two different ones for accent. I also like the "idea" of keeping it mostly black/white/grey/maybe with brownish tones - something that keeps it similar and also communicates the delicate "shades of grey" concept that comes up in strategy and execution plans - things are rarely completely black and white. Of course, I'm sure there are very colorful designs I may love. Please be creative.
Final note- I have a rough design for the website but it has no colors. The logo will drive the palette for the website.
Do you have any other info or links you want to share?
Please take all of this as directional. I like the concepts I've included here, but I don't think of myself as a terribly creative person. You are. Based on my positioning & important elements of the consultancy practice, please feel free to bring in whatever design concepts you think would fit.
