LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

Galatomi, it means 'we give thanks" in the Oromo language of Ethiopia, Africa.

Galatomi serves as a platform for designers and consumers to generate products through its crowd sourcing, community driven business model. Its an E-commerce site designed for the community to submit, vote, and determine which end products Galatomi will hold exclusive rights to retail and wholesale. Galatomi Clothing will enter the market as a T-shirt company and move into other articles of clothing, shoes and accessories. Establishing itself as a company of social action, Galatomi will dedicate up to 25% of its profits to non-profit partnerships and affiliates.

Similar business models that you may know of.. Threadless.com & Designbyhumans.com It may be worthwhile for you to look at these sites and hopefully, with my description, be able to decipher how a customer at Galatomi is different.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We need a logo. A textual logo (it must say "galatomi"). It will be used on print, screen printed on clothing, online (everywhere)..

If we could draw a Venn diagram for you, there would be Consumers and Designs. Some Designers, like yourself, also happen to be social activist, TRAVELERS, people who care about problems of the world enough to do something about it (or at least not be ignorant of them). INDIVIDUALS who can think for themselves and who make moderate changes to their lifestyle to help the ENVIRONMENT. Music is a key characteristic that brings this audience together. Let me make this clear--NOT TOP 20 lists.

Of young people in America, 57.3 percent buy ten to fifteen T-shirts per year, making T-shirts one of the highest grossing markets within the youth fashion industry. The Life of Health and Sustainability market size is roughly $209 Billion, they are defined as people that have a meaningful sense of environmental and SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY and who incorporate those values into their purchase decisions. Generation Y and The Millennials are the driving force to this social LIFESTYLE.
