LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

Parade is a band started in 2008 that consists of Martin C., who plays/programs all the lyrics. A web site of some songs can be heard here, but there are not that many, and they are not really a representation of the music the band makes, but more displays an attitude; that is, in a word, fun. I want this to be a fun band that gets people going with music and makes them happy (for instance, see the take on Akon's "Lonely"; funny takes on rap songs like that are a staple of the song repertory.) The web site is:www.purevolume.com/the_paradeThe band fits in a alt rock/rock/electronic/pop genre. Above all, the band is alternative. Parade is more an outlet for all of my creative urges, which includes making those songs, and I also DJ parties. I want a logo that tries to capture all this. Instruments include synths, piano, organ, drums, electric guitars with lots of distortion, and lots of futuristic effects.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

I'm looking for a logo for placement on flyers, t-shirts, etc., something iconic. Specifically, I have two phrases: "Parade. Always Alternative." If I find one I like, I'll come back for more business. Specifically, I have in mind the following: just the band's name, Parade, seen in block letters on a light blue background with all the trappings of a parade (soldiers marching, kids throwing candy/confetti, floats & classic cars, horses, balloons, prom queens, etc.) distributed throughout the letters themselves (horses sticking out of the hole in the a, etc.) This is just a general idea I'd like to see someone work on; if artistic passions take you in a different direction, that's fine.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Anyone who loves music; in a general indie vain, a younger audience, teens and 20 year olds probably.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

:I am absolutely in love with the japanese wood carvings of Hokusai (his 36 views of Mt. Fuji, in particular) anything working with that I'll take a look at as well. Bands whose designs I love include Jack's Mannequin (they tend to be clever, such as the Rolling Rock logo but rolling is replaced with Piano, because Jack's Mannequin plays piano rock;) I like the general style Ben Folds puts out as kind of a nerd rocker, not too cool, just like Weezer, someone else I like; I don't know, just do something you have fun doing.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

:I don't wanna put too much limitations on it.
