LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
We are an authentic & traditional Sichuan style Chinese restaurant. Sichuan food is most well known for being very spicy.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We need a logo design for the restaurant which will be used on our menus and signage.
The style should have a traditional Chinese style with a mix of modern. We are thinking of the letters of the restaurant name in Chinese traditional character format "" pronounced "Yun Chuan Yuan" appearing to be wood carved or stamped onto a tree cross section. The middle character "" should be three red peppers. We prefer the font to have a traditional calligraphy feel and look.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
We want to cater to both Chinese and Americans looking to find authentic Chinese food in Los Angeles (which can be hard to find). Our main theme is for spicy food. On one side we want Chinese to feel comfortable and at home with the authentic looking Chinese restaurant and also want Americans to feel immersed deep into the rich Chinese culture.
WE LIKE THESE EXAMPLES:
We tried to find some pictures of wood carvings with embossed letters (see pictures attached). We haven't found anything perfect yet, but it should have a similar feeling to these examples. The tree cross section shouldn't be completely circular, in fact we want the letters to be vertically aligned with the wood background so it should be more of a natural oblong outline.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE THIS IN OUR PIECE:
Must have the restaurant name in Chinese traditional characters "" with the middle character as three red peppers. It would be helfpul if the designer is familiar with Chinese characters so that we can experiment with fonts that have a calligraphy feel.
