LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
ImageLocker will be subscription-based website where amateur and professional photographers can upload their photos and videos for online storage, sharing, and the creation of prints.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We will put this logo on our website when it launches. The logo will also be used on our business cards and stationery.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
ImageLocker's biggest competitors are currently Flickr and Picasa. However, ImageLocker will cater more to professional photographers with more security, customer service, better uploading tools, and better sharing tools -- therefore, it will cost more.
Kids probably won't use ImageLocker given the price point, therefore, the target age range will probably be 22-60 years of age.
Our target audience will feel secure knowing their photos and videos are on ImageLocker. They will know that they can keep their personal imagelocker locked so no one can access their photos, or they can keep their locker open to share their photos with the world.
WE LIKE THESE EXAMPLES:
We like strong designs that are powerful. For example, PhotoShelter, another competitor, has a strong logo, but it is too basic. Another strong design that we like is WireImage. We don't like logos like Pictage or Smugmug (too playful).
Our preference would be for the color blue to be the main color of the logo since it communicates trust and loyalty.
We would like a strong font. The word "Image" could be a different look than "Locker". We are flexible if the logo is uppercase, lowercase, or proper case.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE THIS IN OUR PIECE:
We need to also have an icon with our logo. For example, crowdSPRING has the springy guy at the end of its logo. We need something before or after the logo that people can identify ImageLocker with.
For example, Picasa has a nice icon with its logo. However, Photobucket's icon is a camera, and we do not want a camera in our logo, especially since we will be accepting photos and videos.
The name IMAGELOCKER should be one word with no space between Image and Locker.
