LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
Dean Gyorgy is a photographer and multimedia storyteller who has just completed a yearlong academic study of the photographic arts. He is a "life-changer," having left his mid-career corporate marketing position to move back home to Maine and explore a more creative path. He is now polishing portfolios and planning a web site launch within the next several weeks. His bio reads, in part, "Dean is captivated by the triumphs and challenges of his neighbors, and endeavors to enrich the collective by celebrating the individual."
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
He needs a logo, primarily, but by extension he needs fonts and color schemes through which to create a visual brand presence. The logo will be used on the web site, business cards, marketing materials, invoices, etc. His work is digitally based, and includes audio, video and the written word.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
While he has an interest in environmental portraits, his main emphasis is documentary work. Primary shot in black and white, his subjects have a lyric quality, and he hopes to appeal to various online and print media outlets. He will accept general editorial assignment work, while pursuing and packaging his own multimedia narrative pieces. Dean also has a background in writing and journalism, which gives him a more diverse communications perspective. His intimate portrait work might also appeal to fine art galleries, however, so his stance is not strictly documentary or "news."
WE LIKE THESE EXAMPLES:
Generally, he likes simple lines, perhaps incorporating his initials and/or camera imagery. Also Think "community," "connection," or Yin and Yang.
While certainly not tied to it, his favorite font is Copperplate.

Perhaps two versions: "Dean Gyorgy Photography" should be clearly stated in one version, along with a more graphic, standalone (without full name) solution.
