LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
n2 is a technology startup in the consumer web space. Think of us as a new and very cool type of search engine. (Yes, the name "n2" is meant to sound like "into").
Whoever is chosen for the final logo will definitely have opportunities to continue designing for and/or working with n2 in the future. We are aiming big, so who knows? This could end up working out well for both of us.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We are looking for a very simple, very powerful, very cool logo to be used on our site and on all affiliated content and applications. It should be very clean and direct. We're not looking for a fancy graphic or rendering; just a minimalist and slick logo featuring the letters "n2" and perhaps some sort of very simple design element.
Think of the Nike "swoosh" as an example: very simple and very recognizable. (Obviously, don't copy Nike. We don't have the money to face a lawsuit!). This design element might eventually serve as a graphical shorthand for n2 if it becomes very recognizable. Feel free to use your imagination here, but again, keep it -very- simple, and limit it to one color.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Our audience will be pretty much everyone who uses the web and mobile devices to search for content. So the logo can't be too edgy or polarizing. It needs to be hip, but it needs to have mass appeal.
WE LIKE THESE EXAMPLES:
- Logos for the Facebook and Twitter mobile apps and web sites
- Apple logo and general aesthetic
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE THIS IN OUR PIECE:
We would prefer that all logo entries feature a bright green color in some way. If Facebook has "dark blue," and Twitter has "light blue," n2 wants to own light/bright green. Feel free to choose the shade of green you work with, but we ask that you work with that color only.
