LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

We provide search services on social platforms, which deliver highly relevant information to users who query in natural language

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We need a logo for use on our website, posts, business cards, powerpoints, etc

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Consumers who use social platforms like Twitter, and discussion forums. We want the logo to be friendly, very simple & memorable, and to have an innovative edge

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

We prefer line drawn logos (i.e. like the Java logo) with no more than three or four colors for the lines at most. For colors, we prefer the directness of primary colors, like those in the Google logo. RGB values for the colors: orange/red 255-204-0, green 51-153-51, blue either 0-191-255 or 65-105-225

On approach we like is a logo built on a light grey line circle (denoting a compass). The "C" portion of the circle is bolded in, say, 0-91-255. Inside the circle, there is a bolded "L" looking somewhat like the hands of a clock (one end of the "L" pointing to 12 on the clock, and the the other end pointing to 3 on the clock). The ends of the "L" have arrows on their ends, like pointers in a compass (i.e. pointing to "north" and "east"). The top portion of the "L" (the "north") extends above the circle, and the "east" portion is truncated and smaller, inside the circular compass outline. The L color: 255-204-0.

Of course, the above is merely a suggestion. The designed can either re-create this, improve on this, or suggest something different.

In addition to a simple logo, we would like to identify the accompanying font (and color scheme) for the words "Compass Labs". Prefer max of 2 colors for the words - with only the "C" and "L" having a second color. Prefer regular, non-italized fonts, which are readily supported in most systems

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

We want a simple logo, light-weight, which works on a white (or very light blue) background. Nice to have: an approach for a dark background as well
