Tell us what you need

What is the exact name you would like in your logo?

New Endeavors by Women

What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?

1. Housing/Home
2. Stability/Strength
3. Opportunity/Hope
4. Woman/Women we know it says 3 things and that women is in our name, but it would be nice if the logo communicated housing for women.

What logo styles do you like (image + text, image only, text only, etc.)

Ideally our new logo image will communicate "housing for women" even without the text. The current logo is a shooting star, which communicates hope and striving to excel, but not housing or women. We're open to incorporating a simpler star into the new logo design.

Please refer to the attached files to see our current logo, and to see samples of iconic logo designs that we like. Logo design should be iconic and use strong colors without being dark or heavy. We want to keep the current logo's dark purple color, but not the pastel. And, no pastel pinks, please! Also, no deep gold...dont want an LA Lakers color logo.

Text should be sans serif font, strong but not too bold. Heavier than what we have now. We're open to interesting typography. Also, our new logo must have two text treatments like the current logo--a single line and a two-line treatment of the text. Youll see from the samples that wed like a strong iconic logo that grabs attention and doesnt look overly feminine in color palette.

Weve used a bold electric blue, a deep cobalt blue, and a strong magenta in design pieces with our deep purple color (on our website, invitations, newsletters, etc.), so were open to those colors or other colors to accent the dark purple. Ideally the logo should not have shading so that it looks good printed as a simple monotone and in reverse print when needed.

Our organization is a Washington, DC housing program for homeless women and children, established in 1988. We have five housing programs that serve nearly 200 women and children each year. We recently completed a new strategic plan and we're gearing up for our 25th Anniversary year in 2013. We are excited to create a new logo that will help us move our organization forward with a fresh new look.

Thanks for your interest in our project!
