LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
The Learn By Doing Laboratory (LBDL) is a university science facility where K-8th grade students from local schools experience a real world, standards-based, inquiry-driven science curriculum taught by undergraduate students planning careers in teaching. It is designed to improve recruitment and education of pre-college students into scientific fields and possibly into science teaching. Over 2,000 K-9th grade students come to the laboratory each year to engage in Biology, Chemistry, Astrophysics, Mathematics, Agricultural and Engineering learning.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We are interested in a logo for the Learn By Doing Lab (LBDL). We would like a design that can target several audiences from young children to business executives. The logo will be used on various media including: advertising materials, promotional materials (i.e. brochures and flyers) and possibly shirts and backpacks. We are open to a logo that uses many colors, but that can be modified for just one color as well.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Our main audience is science and mathematics minded-individuals interested in becoming science and mathematics teachers. We also distribute our promotional materials to undergraduate students, local school districts, possible funders, and university partners. Therefore, we would like a logo that would appeal to a broad audience from school age children to university students to business partners.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
We are approaching this with an open mind, and look forward to what you, the graphic designers, design.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
We are open different color choices and fonts.
Please include the words LBDL in the logo. Spelling out the LBDL acronym (Learn By Doing Lab), is optional at this point. We are undecided whether that need to be included, so feel free to sway us either direction.
Thanks for your interest in designing the Learn By Doing Lab logo. We look forward to seeing your designs.
