LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
Here's a video about the business: http://vimeo.com/2430699
Startup businesses are born in a spare bedroom or college dorm. Once off the ground, entrepreneurs need an office for legitimacy and support, but find traditional commercial office leases daunting and expensive. The Launch Pad is a flexible office space for startup companies. We provide short-term leases, furnished offices, a support staff and multiple networking and educational events to get a new business off the ground.
Innovation doesnt happen in isolation. The core value Launch Pad provides is the interaction, networking, and mentoring among entrepreneurs in a modern workspace. Our office space includes access to the services that all startups need so entrepreneurs can focus on their core competencies and build viable businesses.
Launch Pad is the brainchild of entrepreneurs who are intimately aware of the startup culture in places like New York, San Francisco and Austin. Launch Pad will be New Orleans hub for events like Startup School, BarCamp, Co-working, Net2NO. Launch Pad will thrust New Orleans into consideration for entrepreneurs nationwide deciding where to start businesses.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We need a logo for the business. This will be used for web/print etc. So, we'll need a high-res logo.
Logo should primarily consist of the words "Launch Pad". While we are open to any creative idea, the thing that we have been tossing around so far is a rocket ship taking off as the visual element to the logo.
Should be exciting, energetic, fun. Not too serious, but professional. Not gimmicky (ie: web2.0 style reflections).
Needs to be able to be used for printing and on signage on building, so it must be clear and while it can utilize colors, we also need it to work well in a 2-color flat format, so gradients and that type of thing may not work well. We are wide open on color scheme.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Our target customer is the 22-40 year old demographic in New Orleans. We target entrepreneurs who are launching businesses and looking for a competitive advantage that they can find through the networking, mentorship and services provided by Launch Pad. Post-Katrina New Orleans has seen an influx of talented, energetic, creative people who have great business ideas. Launch Pad will be the startup hub in New Orleans.
The mission of Launch Pad is to provide an environment for entrepreneurs to build successful businesses. Building a business creates jobs, value, and wealth. Launch Pad will retain talent in New Orleans by creating a fertile environment for businesses to grow and succeed.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
we are pretty wide open. As I mentioned, modern, cool, fun designs. Maybe a rocket ship as the icon beside the words Launch Pad
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
web 2.0 cliches like reflection or badge
