Thank you for your interest in helping Element Bars design new product packaging.

From non-fat, no foam soy Ventis at Starbucks to computers built by Dell, Americans are increasingly demanding customized product. At the same time, the majority of Americans care about nutrition, but are looking for convenient solutions. Our business, Element Bars, meets the intersection of these two trends by offering custom energy/protein bars. With a simple, yet enjoyable web interface, users can select ingredients (elements) from soy protein, to dried fruits and nuts to include in their own custom energy bar that meets their individual tastes and nutritional needs. You can visit a beta version of our website at http://www.ElementBars.com to get a feel for the interactive interface customers will use to design their own custom energy bars.

What we are looking for:

The bars are individually wrapped in a 2.375 x 6.0 inch clear plastic wrapper that naturally biodegrades. We need your help designing the label that goes on each and every Element Bar!

Between the front and back, the product packaging label must include the following:

1) Printed size should be no larger than 2.0 x 5.0 for the front and 2.0 x 5.0 for the back (if the design warrants a second side).

2) The label needs to include the following items:

> Logo

> Tagline

> The bar's name that can be customized and is editable in the PSD file (use cruncher or a bar name of your choosing for the sample)

> Small text along the lines of: Dont like the raisins? Want more protein? Create your own bar at ElementBars.com

> Area for nutritional label and ingredient section (see supporting documentation)

> Optional area for UPC

In the supporting documents please notice our current logo. You may use this logo or create a new one. Please change the colors to be more inline with the earth tones and green/organic feel of the rest of the website.

Target Customers:

Affectionately labeled crunchy, our target is focused on natural and organic ingredients and has specific nutritional requirements. Customers are typically either seeking individualized flavors or trying to match some specific nutritional needs (e.g. extra protein, high antioxidants, lots of fiber).

Messaging:

Playful and irreverent. We dont take ourselves too seriously!

While we are considering the tagline, What is your element?, we dont yet have a firm tagline and are open to suggestions.
