HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
A clean attention-getting logo is needed. We've been using something homemade for too long and it doesn't cut it!
The logo should convey confidence and look "modern" but not futuristic (tough, I know). One approach might be to represent the "desktop" as the metaphor used in computers, as an icon.
OK to represent a screen and cursor for "desktop". But don't represent a mouse. Don't use ones and zeroes to represent data.
Need a logo that can work graphically with our tagline (Technology that Empowers Business) and also without it.
Avoid common fonts but preserve good legibility. Avoid drop shadows and gradations in the font treatment.
For a tall version, I don't mind a treatment that stacks the two words (modern desktop)
Please provide the names of the fonts used in final design.
All materials in this design will be used for our website, business cards, letterhead, presentation materials, clothing, signage and more.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
We work in corporate and graphics environments (macs and PCs) so we want to appeal to corporate and design crowds.
Target: female corporate middle manager, gatekeeper.
A high proportion of our customer relationships involve women between ages of 40-60. They can be the strong influencers that get us into a new account. They are sometimes the decision-makers. They seek an effective, safe yet dynamic solution to their business problems.
