LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
Irori Japanese Restaurant has been around for the past 5 years. We are in the middle of designing our new menus, and along with them I would like a brand new logo to grace the covers. The following site will provide you with a picture of the interior of the restaurant as well as a review : http://www.thrillist.com/sushi-exposed-i... ; Upon visiting the site, you will notice that we are not your average sushi restaurant. We like to combine the traditional with the modern in our decor and atmosphere, as can be seen with the traditional Japanese well-seating and the modern origami light fixtures.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
The logo we desire should be simple, yet modern and classy. Currently, our logo has the "O" in IRORI center stage- bigger with a tic tac design inside representing the meaning of Irori, which is a traditional Japanese hearth. I like the circular motif, so I would like to see if you can keep that in a creative way. If we are pleased with the chosen logo, we might contract you to design a business card as well.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Young professionals, especially because the lunch crowd is full of 30-50 year olds who work at local design and entertainment companies. We also get young couples and families. Since most of our customers are in creative fields, probably like you, please make sure the logo is something you would be attracted to in your favorite sushi restaurant as well.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
Circular motifs, water prints, Asian calligraphy, nature, simplicity, modern. Those are just some suggestions, feel free to include or not include in design.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
We want to steer away from a very commercial looking and boring logo. No fish.
