LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
iCampus is an app designed to let students use their iphone as a campus map, and a news/events/calendar system. The main feature though, is the map with locations of campus buildings, helping new students navigate through their new campus environment.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We need a snazzy logo and splash page designed for the app, and the logo will be used for the website as well. Looking for something clean but relevant to the purpose of the app.
Front page of the app has 2 buttons, so the design should incorporate those buttons (full width).
One button says "welcome to iCampus", and has a spinning icon which runs until the users location is found. Once location is found, the name of the university appears in the place of the spinning icon, underneath the "welcome to iCampus" message. This is the first button, and is bigger.
The second button says "Select your Campus", which is not as tall as the first button, but just as wide. This is used when gps is slow, and the user wants to manually select from a list.
Keep these buttons in mind when designing the splash page.
A small icon (57 by 57 is needed as well, which will be used for the iphone icon button). This needs to be supplied also as a 512 by 512 icon, needed by apple for their appstore requirements.
I would like this done in fireworks if possible, or at least provide a layered png file that I can use if changes are needed in the future.
You can also suggest a "skin" design with your submission, for overriding the general iphone navigation and tab bars for my app. I will upload the current skin, that you can see.
