Creative Brief

Who are you?

I'm an advocate for better government transparency in the United States. Part of what I want to advocate is for better information consumption habits. I think food is the right analogy here-- that, for a healthy lifestyle, people should be as selective about the information they consume as they are the food that they eat. I am advocating that people become information vegans-- people who stay close to the sources of information, rather than get their information from super-commercialized sources like fox news.

What do you need?

I need a logo. This logo will be used primarily on a blog.

Who Is Your Audience?

High-end digital information consumers. These may be readers of the New York Times, but they're probably reading sites like fivethirtyeight.com and flowingdata.com -- they're the digital elite.

We Like These Examples

http://www.sunlightlabs.com -- they have a great, playful logo that still has a technical side.
http://dache.ch/images/timepeg.png -- This is a great logo because it expresses the idea graphically.
http://www.janeandrobot.com -- I like the hand drawn aspect here. It's cute and useful.

We Absolutely Must Have

Infovegan.com is the name of the blog. You can experiment with InfoVegan.com or Infovegan.com . I'd like you to somehow connect the food metaphor with the information metaphor and illustrate that good information consumption habits are just as good for you as a healthy diet.
