LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
The product is a web-based inventory system for tracking home assets such as furniture, electronics, jewelry, etc. The expected primary use is for people who need to document their property for insurance claims in the event of a fire, flood, or other disaster. The product name is a play on words and conveys the idea of contingency "just in case" and security "in case - encased".
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We need a logo. The logo needs to work well within a web site design. We don't care so much about print or other media.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Home owners, property managers, condo/vacation rental companies, bed & breakfasts, possibly insurance companies.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
www.schematic.com; crowdspring; www.lynda.com; istockphoto.com; google; sites that are clean, with lots of white space, and easy to navigate. We like isometric illustrations, and "e-boy" style artwork www.eboy.com.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
we hate hate hate anything that looks "insurance" / "bank" / "traditionally corporate".
The domain is: www.incaseinventory.com and obviously the words "in case inventory" need to be in the logo. ".com" is optional.
The challenge is to create a logo/presence that says "were easy to use/friendly" while reminding the customer of the disasters that could make the product a lifesaver, and that their data is safe and secure.
Some situations in which our product might get used: tornado, fire, robbery, flood, hurricane, earthquake, damage, loan applications, etc...
