LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

"The Farmette" has been shorthand for our 4-acre hobby farm, which produces flavorful and healthy organic fruits, honey and eggs. Now we want to make it an official identity for premium food we produce including jams, jellies and honey. We are located in Minnesota, USA.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We're looking for a logo that will be used on labels for jars. It should suggest or incorporate one or more of the following: sun, rolling green hills, fruit tree or flower blossoms, a seedling, honeybees.

Logo should include the words "The Farmette" and room to write the type of jam, jelly or honey.

Don't need a specific color scheme, but something eye-catching, such as a spot of purple, maroon, orange or blue would be great. No tractors or large livestock, such as sheep or cows, however.

Love the look of wood cuts and vintage produce crate labels, but would be open to a variety of styles of illustration and type. Prefer not to see "country" style logos with hearts or stenciled rooster types of iconography.

Logo can be vertical or horizontal, but fairly square, and able to be "read" fairly small.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Products will be sold on store shelves and online to customers who value local produce and food, produced in small batches. Audience is well-educated, high quality, and is sensitive to authenticity. They want a really good food experience to enjoy themselves, or give as a gift, but they are also expressing their values of taking care of the earth and artisan farmers by their action of purchase.

WE LIKE THESE EXAMPLES:

Love, but certainly don't require, the illustration style of Steve Johnson:

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE THIS IN OUR PIECE:
