LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
Hypebeast.com is an online magazine dedicated to fashion, sneakers, toys and aspects of popular culture. We focus mostly on current men's fashion that is usually away from the commercial and conventional realm of fashion. An official release regarding what the site encompasses can be seen below.
Hypebeast was launched in January of 2005 as a one-stop news source for internet-savvy street fashion enthusiasts. Frustrated with having to browse multiple sites to keep up with the latest information, the creation of Hypebeast allowed for the latest news to be broadcast through one specific medium.
Over the past three years, the site has grown from small sneaker-based blog to a large well-respected information source within the industry, with a strong emphasis on street fashion. Features and interviews that profile designers and brands serve as a platform for companies to showcase new and upcoming product, while keeping readers informed of new trends, retailers, and events. The Guest Blogger section features exclusive blogs where industry insiders share their thoughts and opinions, while a large and active Forum provides a community space where readers around the world are able to connect and interact.
Attracting a vast and diverse readership from around the globe and boasting 9 million page views per month, Hypebeast is the premier destination for street culture information on the web.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We're looking to re-design our logo (currently seen at the top of the page at www.hypebeast.com) to include both a type logo and a mark/stamp. The logo & mark/stamp we envision is something that can be deemed modern and contemporary and won't become obsolete within a short period of time. That is nothing too bold. The logo will be used for the website.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Our target audience is predominately male and from the United States although it is largely a global site. Our readers are usually late-teens through to early 30s with an eye for fashion, art, culture and general products. Generally they look to Hypebeast for the latest trends.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
We DO want the following:
-a type font logo
-a mark/stamp logo
-a balance of timelessness and contemporary
-something more casual
We DON'T want the following:
-anything that incorporates the theme of a "beast"
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
The word Hypebeast/hypebeast/HYPEBEAST must be in the design.
