LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
Semi-retired after 40 years in software development business. Seeking lecturing, consulting, advisory work through my new company "Concurrency Magic". No plans for any employees or growth, just a little income and some fun interesting contracts.
My tag line is "Taking the mystery out of multi-threading". See: www.concurrencymagic.com
Concurrency is a software technique to allow several portions of an algorithm to run in parallel at the exact same time, which allows the overall problem to be solved faster. Each portion is called a "thread". Many of these threads running simultaneously is called "multi-threading", which is the focus of my new business.
As a former hobby stage magician, I often throw small magic tricks into my lectures. It keeps the audience entertained and interested.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
Need a logo that visually suggests concurrency.
For the concept of "concurrency", it needs to suggest many objects, perhaps a stack of objects. Perhaps a series of objects fading into the distance. Perhaps side-by-side. Objects could be exact duplicates or have slight differences in size, shape or content.
Ir could also incorporate the concept of "magic", which could be a classic icon for magic, like a rabbit coming out of a hat. It could be a magic wand, perhaps with a sparkle. It could also be the word "magic" (repeated to show concurrency). Ideally, it would be somehow mysterious.
It could be slightly humorous or cute. For example, lots of tiny rabbits peaking out from behind a magic wand.
Whatever the result it should be light, interesting, simple and visually pleasing.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
My customers are companies that development application software.
That is, companies who develop computer software, either to sell as their major product or to use internally to run their company's equipment.
Note that application software is not the same as IT software, which is traditional payroll, accounting or inventory stuff. Rather our focus is on software for industrial, engineering and scientific applications.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
I've uploaded my current business card (with a stock logo that's too simple).
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
Must look reasonable when printed in grey scale.
Prefer to have some blue in it when printed in color.
