This project is for a US Department of Defense contractor that has developed a new line of combat optical equipment called EYECON. The EYECON system is an operational optics system so advanced that the technical details are classified. What we can tell you is that the EYECON system provides soldiers with unparalleled night-time visibility at tremendous range. The EYECON system also provides stealth to soldiers in combat situations with cutting edge blackout features that provide 360-degree visibility while concealing the soldiers position.
The EYECON system represents the pinnacle of optics technology providing vision and security to military personnel. EYECON units are unique because they are specially designed to deliver the maximum visual field to the soldier; they are extremely reliable and easy to use. The key benefit of EYECON is its ability to deliver safety and security to the soldier by providing sight in a huge surrounding field and being able to instantly convert to a stealth blackout mode. The EYECON brand is at the cutting edge of vision technology. If a soldier needs maximum vision at night, there is no substitute for the EYECON system.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We need one logo that will work in a one-color design. This logo will be featured on our products packaging (a cardboard box), on our products instruction manuals and on the product itself. The logo can feature up to two (2) colors but must also work well as a single-color logo (we recommend going with one color). Less is more in this case.
The logo should prominently use the EYECON name. This name can be all caps, all lowercase or a combination of the two (e.g. EyeCon or eyecon).
The logo should be simple, bold and masculine. It must pass the t-shirt test (e.g. look cool blown-up in the center of an athletic guys t-shirt). The logo should use strong, blocky letters and should be appealing to our core target (Soldiers). The sharp look of the logo should reflect the fact that EYECON is the absolute pinnacle in vision solutions.
The logo can be a word-mark or can include a symbol if it meets the criteria above. We are particularly interested in distinctive, masculine, tactical-looking wordmarks that really make the EYECON name fit with its high-performance military application.
The logo must allow for a tag line or corporate name (just plain text) beneath it.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
The EYECON brand is aimed squarely at Soldiers in the combat theater. These soldiers are used to working with heavy-duty combat equipment and they respect brands that stand for high-performance and war-fighting dominance.
