Target Audience
What is your industry?
Marine conservation science non-profit
Describe the target audience for your logo
Generally scuba divers: adventure-loving travellers, 20-60 years old, well-educated and reasonably comfortable financially. Love nature and the outdoors, particularly marine creatures.
What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?
We're focused on marine conservation. Sleek, professional, modern... hopefully one that looks good on a t-shirt too!
Style and Concept
What logo styles do you like (text only, image only, text and image, etc.)?
Text and image. I tend to like "modern" looking logos (well, that's how I think of them), for instance tech start-ups.
What colors do you want to see in your logo?
No particular preference. Ideally, it should look good on a white background, but I'm open to ideas.
What colors do you NOT want to see in your logo?
None in particular.
Where will your logo be used (print, website, etc.)?
T-shirts and on the web, but it will be printed occasionally as well.
Do you have other info or links you want to share?
I quite like the idea of having a main stylised whale shark that's made up of a lot of small whale sharks. The picture should be more of a focus than the text. I also like sillouettes, i.e. stylised line drawings, especially if it could include some spots (which is a very distinctive feature of these sharks). Very open to ideas though.
Please note that whale sharks are not the same shape as 'normal' sharks! I want the picture to be instantly recognisable as a whale shark. Google "whale shark silhouette" for some examples of the shape.
We're a small, very committed group of scientists that are utterly dedicated to researching and conserving these huge, iconic sharks: thanks for helping us out!!!
