Tell us what you need
What is the exact name you would like in your logo?
What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?
People need to feel confident that the service they will be receiving is high quality, unbiased and trustworthy. Since the service is medically related, the logo should also convey a healthy and longevity feeling to it. People who will purchase the service may also be generally more sophisticated, educated and probably with more disposable income. The logo should convey some degree of exclusivity and status.
What logo styles do you like (image + text, image only, text only, etc.)
I have tried to read up on what makes a suceesful logo. For example, Mercedes doesn't necessarily have their name in their 3-pointed star logo whereas Ford has their blue oval. My company is just me and that I am selling a service that really hasn't been offered before. I am inclined to feel a preference to have my company name, "Health Compass" somewhere in the logo. I want my logo to be long-lasting and want to make sure it isn't too trendy. Too many squirrly lines and abstract shapes my not be right so my initial reaction may be negative unless it is really good.
Do you have any other info or links you want to share?
I will update this area and examples as I come accross them.
I will need my logo to be able to integrate into a website, on a business card, postcard, letterhead. Since my service creates a hardcopy report of my findings the logo should fit onto a paper document. I like color and would like to see color in the project.
