What is the exact name you would like in your logo?
Off the Clock Rentals
What is your industry?
What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?
My service is a peer-to-peer recreational equipment rental company. People will be able to list their own equipment (i.e. surfboards, kayaks) to rent out to others. The reason I'm creating this company is I want people to be able to have more fun in the outdoors in their leisure, "off the clock" time (hence the name of my company) and my company is working to make it easier and more affordable to rent equipment. So the top 3 things I would like to communicate in my logo are:
1. Everyone should have more fun in their off-the-clock time, and getting active outdoors is a great way to spend that leisure time.
2. Using my service, as an equipment owner, is a fun and safe way to make money to help fund the outdoors fun you have in your off time
3. Using my service, as an equipment renter, is a great way to save money on the outdoors fun you may not have been able to previously afford and it's an easy way to enjoy the outdoors when you travel, without having to lug your equipment with you
What logo styles do you like (image + text, image only, text only, etc.)
Image + text
Logos that I like:
I like the logo for Tech Cocktail because they were able to include a circuit and turn it into what looks like a cocktail glass. It's a great way to create a visual representation of the word "Tech" (with the circuit drawing) and incorporate it into the drawing of a cocktail glass
I like the colors in the logo above for Silicon Beach LA (blue and white). I also like that they were able to work a silhouette of palm trees into the logo, which signifies Los Angeles.
I like how clean and simple this logo is and I like the soft brown they use, versus the typical darker, harsh browns I see on other logos. It feels warm and inviting
I like the colors in the logo (blue, gray, and white). I also like the way the logo seems to be three people with their arms around each other. It creates a sense of warmth and is inviting. I also like that they were able to incorporate a picture of a road into the logo, which is representative of what the service does.
While I'm not a fan of the exact image used as the Q in the logo for this company, I do like the idea that the logo designer had in incorporating aspects of the outdoors, such as the tire-like Q and the wave in the blue part of the logo.
Logos that I don't like:
I dislike the IBM logo because it seems cold and impersonal. I also don't like the shade of blue.
I dislike the Fry's Electronics logo because I find the red to be too harsh, and I don't like how angular and sharp the letters are.
Do you have any other info or links you want to share?
I would prefer the logo to be mostly blue and/or white. I'm also ok with incorporating some gray in the logo as needed and would really like the logo to convey a sense of warmth, friendliness, and fun. Nothing too dark and serious please!
I like softer colors, not quite pastel, but nothing as harsh as a deep red or orange.
I'd like something related to the outdoors worked into the design. It could be a sunset, blue sky, waves, etc. I'm not sure if I would want a specific piece of outdoor equipment worked into the logo, because I don't want the logo to potentially make customers think that I only rent out that one piece of equipment. However, if the piece of equipment is nicely worked into the logo, I may consider it.
