LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
The Health Hazard Evaluation Program is housed in the Centers for Disease Control and Preventions (CDC) National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). We are a government agency that conducts research on occupational health and safety.
The Health Hazard Evaluation Program responds to requests for assistance in identifying and eliminating occupational health hazards. Employers, employees, and union representatives can request our services. When a health hazard evaluation is requested the program sends a multi-disciplinary team of professionals (industrial hygienists, occupational physicians and nurses, epidemiologists, ergonomic specialists, etc.) to the workplace to investigate the occupational exposures and related health concerns. During health hazard evaluations our team conducts exposure assessments, evaluates exposure controls, reviews medical records, and performs medical evaluations at the facility. The program then provides recommendations to the facility on how to reduce or eliminate health hazards.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We need a logo that can be used on a wide-variety of communication products (brochures, presentations, conference exhibits, web pages, formal reports, and promotional items).
We want to present ourselves as professional, credible, and trusted, but want this logo to get away from the standard government look. We prefer clean lines and simple, modern designs void of clutter, too much text, or busy images.
The logo should portray our dedication to occupational health and capture all the capabilities of the program. While we conduct health hazard evaluations in all industries and professions, we do not want the logo to focus on any specific one.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Our customers: employers, employees, union officials, other government agencies, and health and safety professionals. The Health Hazard Evaluation Program provides assistance to all professions and industries (for example food and beverage manufacturers, steel mills, office buildings, schools, border patrol, minesand the list goes on and on).
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
We would like a full-color logocolor choices are open to the designer. In addition to the full-color version of the logo, we would like to see a black and white version. The fonts used in the design should be clean and legible, nothing ornate.
We are a government agency and want to appear professional, trusted, and credible. Please no cartoony fonts or images.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
The logo can include "Health Hazard Evaluation Program in the design; however, this is not a requirement.
The logo must somehow portray our focus on occupational exposures and related health concerns. Please dont use safety or medical related images.
The logo should not state NIOSH or CDC, as those agencies have their own logos.
